Are you dreaming of a new home?

Are you dreaming of a new home, but don’t feel quite ready yet? Let’s face it, the current market is not the easiest to navigate, and maybe your life situation is not yet aligned for such a big move. I completely understand! Here are some fun manifesting techniques that you can use in the meantime. Trust me, this stuff works (and fast)! If you have any interest in the Law of Attraction, manifesting, or co-creating, then these tips are for you.

-Make a vision board Print out images from listings online, use home design magazines to cut out inspiring photos, and add some verbiage to describe the specifics. Glue it all on a poster board and add fun colors, glitter, pretty paper, etc. I love to go to BLICK Art Materials on Kingsbury St to get supplies, OR, you can do it in Canva! Have fun making it, and display it someplace where you can see it often, to remember your goals. Vision boards work because they provide visual reminders to our subconscious, which directs our conscious mind. Our thoughts have energy that translate into our life and affect our beliefs, actions, decisions, and outcomes. The vision board also gives material form to a dream, an important step in bringing it to life! I suggest making a true paper one as opposed to an electronic version only, but please do what resonates the most for you. Once, many years ago, I was looking for a new loft to rent in a specific building. I looked up old listings from the building and printed out photos that I liked to make a vision board of exactly what I was looking for. In less than 1 week, a new off-market listing came up that fit the bill very well! In less than 1 month, I had found a few options, and signed a lease in my desired building.

-Make a list of specifically what you want in your new home Take out a piece of paper or your journal, and detail all of the things that you need and want and believe are available to you. Then add a little extra! Focus on this list often, put it where you can see it, and consider incorporating it to your vision board. One of my clients is a big believer in Law of Attraction, and she cites journaling daily about her new home in a new city before initiating a move from NYC > Chicago. It all worked out beautifully for her and now she owns a condo that she loves on the lakefront.

-Use creative visualization Meditate and imagine yourself in new home, thinking about how it feels, looks, smells, etc. Engage your senses while you daydream. See yourself entertaining, celebrating, experiencing desired life events there. Think about how you would like to decorate and shop around looking at new furniture. Consider the neighborhood, the things you will do when you walk outside your door, even befriending your new neighbors.

-Create an affirmation/mantra Write a short statement that describes how you want to feel in your perfect new home, and phrase it in the present tense. Repeat often! Years ago, when I needed to move quickly, I wrote this affirmation for myself: “I am nesting in my beautiful dream home”. I needed my home to be a sanctuary. In a matter of days, the perfect place came on the market and I went to go see it immediately. I ended up renting it and moving in quickly, then I bought it from the owner less than a year later!

I hope you have fun playing with these techniques. If you’re unsure about what might be possible for you, please contact me. I have helped many clients (and myself) manifest a home purchase in accelerated timing when it seemed out of reach. I am also helping my sellers sell quickly and easily. Sometimes we just need some guidance or a new perspective. And a little juju to help you seal the deal!
